Docents at The Wildlands Conservancy’s Wind Wolves Preserve are long-term volunteers who work independently and alongside staff to help us achieve our goals of visitor engagement, land stewardship, and community outreach. They are Wildlands ambassadors, with a key role in sharing our organization’s mission with others. See below for details.
NOTE: All docents must complete and pass a Live Scan criminal background check for The Wildlands Conservancy. Docents may request reimbursement for the Live Scan fee.
Looking to volunteer just a few times per year? Check out our public volunteer days.
Submit the interest form, so we can notify you of upcoming orientation dates. Contact the Docent Coordinator at 661-858-1115 or [email protected] with questions.
Interested individuals must attend an orientation session to be eligible for the Docent Program. Orientations take place at Wind Wolves Preserve about twice per year. Advance registration is required.
